Thunderscats for sure! Does any remember Voltron? I think that is what is was called, with an underwater lair and an evil "person" I say person because you could never tell if it was a woman or a man. I personally think it was a tranny. :-)

Don't forget Inhumanoids.

Giant monsters that live in the center of the earth that rise up to kill and destroy.

Metlar: reached down his own throat into his gut to retrieve balls of lava to throw at his enemys.

Tendril: tentacled green thing, when parts were cut off they would grow into a whole new Tendril monster

Decompose: giant rotting beaked skeletion thing. anything he touched mutated into a hideous deformed zombie version of itself. and he would capture people by sticking them behind his own ribcage.

that's fuckin' saturday morning!

yup - you can't beat Looney Tunes. So many great characters and voices and the animation was so much better than the limited motion stuff that started with Hanna Barbara when I was a kid. I still loved all those too tho.

The best was Hercules, even when i was 5 years old i would go 'what the fuck? the only thing moving on this fucking cartoon are their mouths!'.

man what a great feeling that was, getting up while it was still dark on Saturday morning and knowing you had like 6 hours straight of cartoons. And the commercials that made every toy look amazing. Fuckers..... kids are defenseless against advertising.

Most of what you've all listed as "old school" is actually newer shit. Thundercats? please. Old school is cartoons from the 60's and 70's.... like Bugs bunny. Classic.

And George of the Jungle.
Dudley Doright.
Spiderman.
Fantastic 4
Hukklesberry hound
The Fuckstones.

You know.... OLD school. All that 80's shit is new compared.

The old Double Dare still comes on Nickelodeon's game show channel. I saw it a few weeks ago. I loved that show.
