growth: how fast is too fast?
I'm considering starting a studio in SoCal in addition to my current location in Sacramento. I'm curious though, how established should one realistically be prior to doubling in size? Looking at employee expenses, and studio costs, it looks relatively comfortable assuming everyone's efficient with their time right off the bat.
So I guess my question is, how fast is too fast when it comes to expanding? |

And since I shoot mostly guys, are there any places that come to mind that are better than LA? Vancouver, Seattle, Phoenix, Los Vegas... I'd prefer to stay on the west coast.

Expand the existing place so you can keep an eye on everything, as soon as you get multiple locations its downhill.....

Why not try San Fran instead of Sacramento?

regarding growth.... moving fast is key to success. Big steps will get you ahead, but can hurt you as well. |
