Google ? dancing or what ever?

Many of us have seen our position on keywords fluctuate dramatically over the last several days. Played havoc with those of us that rely on keyword position for traffic. After the Florida project, don?t know if ya can really call it a google-dance anymore?

What I saw was sites ahead of mine on keyword search that didn?t make any sense. If a competing site wins on the listings, so be it, they were better at SEO than me. But do nothing sites with not many back links showing?? Ya can usually figure out if a site is doing a refer bomb. As for cloaking, I think Google has found away to beat the cloaker programs. Notice that google is using proxies.

Can anyone speculate on what?s going on with google and are they beating the cloaker programs? The good news of the moment is that my sites are back up where expected, at least right now.

I have no idea. My stuff didn't move up or down even after the Florida update. Though, I don't like the SERPS they have had recently.

I'm still feeling the effects of florida update. Brutal. All ethical SEO work too.

I think in the end ethical SEO will win. Why risk the ban by google. I've seen a big TGP site or two take in the ass on PR & SERP. Can only speculate that someone complained about some action that violated Google TOS?

I'd name 'em, but not dumb enough to flame a major player here.
