anyone on metformin ?

just started taking it today - I'm not diabetic it is for insulin resistance. I know a lot of people are on it ...found it easy or any problems?

All my doctor would say is ' you may get a bit of bloating'.

Hi Sarah, metformin is just the generic name for glucophage. I'm taking the 500 mg extended release type & luckily, I haven't noticed any problems other than excessive thirst.

good to know ..I have started to take what doctors say about meds with a grain of salt. I have found it useful to ask people that actually takes them about how they really effect their bodies.

Thanks
