    What do you use to trace IP adresses..?

    Fucker tried to hack into my hommies laptop..!

    Black Ice shows an ip address for the bastard and I'd like to know where it is...

    Back in the days I used net trace or something like that, but that was many moons ago and I have since forgotten the url for that..

    I think it was free at the time...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated...TIA..!

      You can only trace it back to the ISP, then give them a call

                                                  There's another one that shows a map with a traceline showing you where the ip addy is..A good friend of mine showed me how it works and I must say it was pretty impressive, as is the dslreports.com...

                                                                  What if he used a proxy? An anonymous one that deletes log files every 10 mins?

                                                                  The only thing you can do at that point is subpoena router logs....but the log has to be turned on.
