Why is it that Visa came up with charges for what they call risk sites (ie: adult sites"

and yet I have a bud who went there to sell items from his home shopping business, iBill still wanted to charge him $750 to open an account whereas ccbill did not.

iBill is getting $750 accross the board from everyone even if they arent in the adult bus? Thats not what Visa had in mind...

I set up an account with Ibill for a mainstream site two weeks ago and they didn't charge me a damn thing.

Thats not true dude. They're only collecting that fee from high risk sites which VISA designates is the adult market. Having said that, the fee is collected from sites located within the US. Of course, if you're located outside of the US, the you do not have to pay that fee. But you will pay higher % fee's.

I have a friend that doesn't have a adult site and is not high risk. iBill still wanted the $750 from her. Just extra money for iBill to pocket I guess. She never paid it though and isn't using them anymore.

Why would I care what Netbilling posts in billing threads? They are in a completely different business than we are.

She did talk to the manager. This was back when iBill first asked for the $750 visa fee. The manager said, she didn't have to pay, but Visa never showed up on her join pages. They kept saying they would fix it, but never did. She's not iBill anymore, so it doesn't matter.

You are correct about no number or additional contact info on the site but, if that's all you need to do business with someone, the joke's on you "bro".

You mention the site, however you make no mention of anything pertaining to my business. If all it took were a good site to make money in this business everybody would be rich and none of the processors would be in trouble. But that, sadly enough, isn't true. We are not a payment processor, we are a transaction gateway services provider. The major diffenrence is simply that you are responsible for your own reporting and the settlements are made directly from the bank, we never touch your money. You don't have to have your business co-mingled with large payment processors less than desireable clients' transactions, so in theory you should be better able to control your own chargebacks.

There's no set up fee until you're accepted, so let's do this: You fill out an application, we score you and if you're accepted at a preferred rate you can go ahead make all the gratuitous assertions you want (while saving a shitload on your CC processing). If not, not let us conduct out business how we see fit and you continue yours as you see fit to do so.

It easy to make whatever accusations you like and even easier to cry scammer. The question that begs to be answered is why some of you are so obviously threatened?

There are several reasons to put up a number. Some people do have questions. You might not think so, but people do come up with questions. Another is that people trust companies that they can call. I'm one of them. If you don't have a phone number and address on your site, I'm not going to use you. I want to talk to a actual person. Not do the email back and forth thingy.

I'm just saying you might be losing potential customers, just because you don't have a address and phone number. If people don't have questions like you say they do, then you don't have to worry about them calling. It just gives a impression that your a fly by night business with out that info. Remember, your dealing with peoples money and lively hoods.
