Does he really need to state the obvious?

Iraq is a different situation all together.. but is connected with the vast effort to remove any threat to the United States.

While I will not sit here and waste time debating these issues I will ask you this

What would you do if you where in his position after the wake of 911? How would you presue a enemy such as terrorism?

I would remove any remote possible threat of the united states. I would remove any possible hostile state

Keep entertaining me please. :1orglaugh What would I do if 9/11 happened and I was president well I would have sent in special forces into Afghanistan and put a covert war together to fucking take that bastard bin laden and his top people out while they thought we were still trying to figure out what the fuck happened. And I sure as hell wouldn't have gone to Iraq.

Because terror stops with Bin Laden? The entire middle east has to be changed. All states hostile towards the US has to be removed. The war on terrorism is not going to be corrected simply by catching Bin Laden. While he is a very important figure head and factor he is not the beginning and the end. I wish it was that simple.

yes the middle east has to change but so has the US at the moment, both are run by extremist and/or big business

the US is hostile even against countries who have been allies for over 50 years

most people in those countries didn't support the war, so a lot of those governments will be punished next elections. And except the UK, there isn't a powerfull country behind them, I mean Holland, Poland, Spain, ... (if they have to choose they won't follow the US, most are too dependable on the EU)
I'll take me chances with France, Germany, Russia, ...

Our selection of leaders...has not been detrimental to the US becoming the richest most powerful nation the world has ever known...in little more than two hundred years...pretty good track record if you ask me?

KRL 01-20-2004 09:08 PM

I'm especially talking about the current leaders. BTW Russia became a superpower within 30 years, not bad for a country that mostly consisted out of farmers.
And before you go ahead with "we are still rich, ...": YOU'RE LENDING MONEY FROM CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CASE CLOSED

Hmm.."superpower"...compared to the richest and most powerful country the world has ever known. Hmm...Russia became a "superpower" in only "30 years". Hmm..Russia is a much younger country than I was ever aware of. Hmm...I was under the impression that the Soviet Union was once considered to be a "superpower"...not Russia.

How much money did we lend to China??? Think they will pay us back???

DUH? I never knew the US loaned any money to China... when was that???? Was that some US Aid program or something?? *g*

The fact is the US owes China a LOAD of money (and MANY other nations) and the question should be when are they gonna pay the bill instead of whining and complaing that the exchange rate is crap??

jeezes, read what I wrote USA lended money FROM China, you guys have to pay money back to China.

the name Russia has been used for over centuries, like it was part of the USSR, nowadays it's part of the Commonwealth of Independent States. So, obviously I ment the USSR years!

oh again you're there with the "considered to be a superpower", it was a superpower.

USA, the most powerfull country in the world? yes, that's true

richest? that depends on how you look at it, there are many countries where the average conditions of life are better for everyone. What use is it to be the richest, when 99% of the money is owned by 0,01% of the population? 15% of the US population life in poverty, but hey you're still the richest :thumbsup

you should try to be the greatest, an example of democratic, humanistic values that defend freedom & equality. Instead of a nation where government is in bed with an extremist religious group and big business, where civil liberties are eradicated, you're on the verge of becoming an Gestapo-state, where the inland security can bypass the judicial system, oh now that already partly true.

great state of the world:
China run by a something that is so perverse, it's criminal to call it communism, Marx would turn around in his grave

Russia run by a corrupt president, 8 oligarchs and the Russian mafia

USA run by a conservative, having nazi tendencies on the inland security issues, religieus extremist, selling out to a few instead of thinking about the whole of the population, making a perversion out of the democracy president

How much did foreign nations "lend" to the United States?

How do you think your nation can survive without foreign funds?

Do you live in the same world as everyone else, theking?

Lended is not a word that I am aware of. I believe the word you intended would be "borrowed".

FYI..."poverty" in the USA means a roof over your head. Clothing to wear. Food to eat. Utilities...such as electricity...heating...cooling...and phone. Furniture...appliances...such as cook stove...refrigerator...micro wave...a washer...dryer...TV...VCR...Video games...one or more cars...etc. In other words...well off compared to billions in the world. There are some dregs of society that do not have all of the above...but it is by their choice...not because they couldn't have the above.
