Gay/Lesbian Couples Having Children

I forsee technology coming in the near future that would allow same sex partners to have children of their own. By this I mean a child sharing a mixture of DNA from each partner.

Is this something that would appeal to the gay & lesbian community?

What are your thoughts on genetic engineering of this type? Should it be banned, or should everyone be given an equal chance to procreate through whatever means possible?

Agent I am sure that technology is very close to being able to do this. Based on current stem research technology I'd be surprised if they aren't able to do this already. Gay and lesbian couples have always used the alternative method by adopting children. Rosie and other have got crap for doing so. I think it would appeal and feel any couple would prefer to have their own biological babies whenever they are psyically possible. This concept will be put into the same category as human cloning. The current generation I feel does not know or understand what is happening when it comes to these topics, but ask someone from an older generation and I"m sure you will have them outraged as they cry there are no morales left in society and that this is simply unethical. Much like handguns and president bush, this research is sure to spilt america's opinions. We all believe we should have an opinion on any given topic, but what we must realixze is that as american progresses in technology it becomes more than a simple opinion and becomes a serious topic as all decisions can determine the outcome and fate of so many bigger issues in the future of America.
