Anyone ever done this Hiccup remedy? - GoFuckYourself.com

Was out last night, and in the middle of trying to pick up a chick, (nothing special, a two bagger, with 6 beers at best, mind you) but I got the hiccups.
My buddy bet me $20 bucks that he could cure it.
He got a glass of tap water in a glass, and a simple butter knife.
He put the knife in the glass, where the edge was at the bottom corner of the glass and was told to place the handle of the knife against my forehead and drink the water without stoping.
IT FUCKING WORKED!
I am out $20 bucks, but got laid.

haha, theres a million of these and their all bullshit, so heres another

last one a chick asked me to perform was holding my hands over her ears from behind her while she drank a glass of water, felt good for me and deffinetly solved her hiccups... however i dont suggest you and your mate try that one, unless your that way inclined

suck in as much air as you can and hold it in your lungs for as long as you can

Yeah thats how I usually get rid of them.

I've heard of some people bending over and drinking a glass of water upside down too...

Sounds interesting. I heard the one where you stand on one leg and hop around (doing a 360) works. Never tried it though.

In one of my old kung fu classes I got the hickups, and the sifu had me put my hands hahahahahaha palm, palms facing my chest) about 1 inch from my chest and make a downward rubbing motion, without actually touching. First one hand, then the other, fairly slowly.

I'm not claiming this is a cure, but somehow (and I have no idea how) it worked... and has worked every time since.

I saw one at a bar a while back that worked..the bartender lit up a bunch of matches then put them out in a small glass of water.
The girl who had the hiccups drank the water..and within seconds her hiccups were cured.

the coolest thing i've found that works is to ask someone to hiccup for you once they start. just say "hiccup for me again". amazingly they stop everytime. and it's alot easier than chugging water or holding your breath
