Recips to free linkslists

I was just wondering what time frame would be appropriate to wait for linklists to list your free site?

I submitted free sites to a few linklists and some of them list the sites within 2 or 3 days and some obviously don't bother at all. Persiankitty always lists my sites within a very short time frame and the traffic is real nice.

Do you agree that 7 to 10 days waiting time is sufficient before I delete a backlink or is it worth to wait longer until I get listed ???
I waited longer on free sites previously, but my experience was always, either I get listed within a week or not at all. So there is is no sense in giving linklists traffic they do not deserve - no matter how popular those sites are ....

I have always tried to have mine caught up to date. That means sites will be listed the day after they are submitted. There have been times, however, when "the outside world" interferes. Christmas has me backlogged, because the kids were home, and reviews could not be done.

Maybe drop them an email and find out if it always takes a long time, or if the reviewer is just temporarily backlogged.

Richards has about 1 month delay.

I always group linklists that I know list me and are active and all new ones and the ones I'm unsure is grouped by itself. That way I never give away any traffic to dead linklists and you don't have to worry about deleting recips.
If they get around to reviewing your sites after a month and they don't find any recips on 20 sites, it's pretty likely that they will blacklist you.

the fact that some of the linklists don't even send you an email explaining it will take a while .... is making me just wonder ... if it is just a vicious attempt to collect traffic without even thinking about to list you .... just my 2 cents.
