Hotmail: Any opt in mailers getting through?

Seems to be a common problem, hotmail is blocking tons of stuff.

Any ideas? Any contact addresses? What's the scoop, people?

Hotmail went from my worst email account to my best in the last few weeks. I get less spam in my Hotmail box than any other email account except my AOL. In my AOL box only a couple of guys seem to be able to spam that regularly.

Congrats to those two Viagra peddlers.

Yesterday I've added these domains to my blacklist: msn.com, hotmail.com, yahoo.com.
I was getting like 15 spam e-mails from that domains daily...
So the idea is to block the domains. PERIOD.

If so

If you have double-opt-in you may get a legit business licence ... I've heard it's about $200 a year.

whatever hotmail is doing, its working. one account i've had since 98 gets so much spam i have to delete it all every 3 days or so or it will start deleting old messages i have there. made the account totally useless. now i only get 20 or so spams a week there.

I understand they DO accept adult as long as you follow their general no-spam rules.

Metaman: can you PLEASE put your broad brush away? I run a 100% legit 100% double opt in set of mailers, I don't spam, I don't spew, I don't single opt in, and I have never sold the opt outs. Each and every mail to a customer has an opt out link clear in each mail. The heeders are real, things are NOT spoofs, relayed, or otherwise spewed. I am VERY well known for being anti-spam, and I don't go there.

Hotmail decides that their clients cannot receive the mail that they have requested. That SUCKS BIGTIME.

... oh yeah, HOTMAIL doesn't read the mail going to support, abuse, or webmaster @ addresses...

Hotmail has been doing this for almost a year now.
Even with an ongoing open communication route, nothing will get resolved.
They say one thing and do another.

wow u r a mailer genious, u r one of few, why do u think many mailer companies have been sold? why because 80% is bullshit spammers.

i have no sympathy for mailers, i hope u all end up broke, half the fuckers out there end up selling their lists to spammers in hard times.

looks like you are one and own, why dont you msg your spammer friends and tell them to keep it legit like you do?

Damn, I never thought I would ever see Raw Alex ever being slammed for spamming.

Kinda reminds me of the time he came down on us for having Teen sites that pushed the envelope... And the ensuing foot eating he got from that.

Just say Fuck it Alex. We are only on the west coast.

Come to the Dark Side.

It is kind of crazy in the last couple months the spam blocking on my ISP email , hotmail, and outlook 2003 has gotten really good.

I don't mind people individually blocking mail, I would prefer them to opt out (they all double opted in, so they should be able to manage it, I guess!)... but having the ISP decide for the surfer what they can and cannot receive AND NOT TELL THEM ABOUT IT just sort of sucks...
