Help - Weird Photoshop Problem
I have a Photoshop file that's only 1.6 MB, every time I try to open it I get a message 'Not enough RAM'. I have no trouble opening files over 100 MB.
what could be happening? I'm using Photoshop 6.

If the probelm happens only with that file, then the file is probably corrupted. If it happens often with otehr files, then you need to reinstall PS and the problem should be fixed.
It may also be that the file was crteated with a later version of photoshop, either 7 or CS. If the option to make the file backwards compatible at the time of saving was not checked, you cannot open it with older versions. Hope this helps |

thanks - that's what i'm wondering - i've never had any problems opening PS7 files but of course I get warned that some effects etc won't be available since i'm using PS6.
I'll have the designer save it again and make it backwards compatible if that's what the problem is or maybe the file is corrupted. No problem opening any other PSD file on my computer, i've tried about 20.
