Well, what does she want to have done? You said 'facial cosmetic surgery' -- but that could mean damn near anything. Facelift, nose job, eyebrow lift, chin implant, cheek implant...you get my drift.

I'm thinking of having some plastic surgery too. Tell her to check out this site to find a surgeon registered with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

depends on what she wants to get done... my gf's mom went for a face lift and cost 15k (she needed it ;-)

and it will depend on the doctor as well, she should start making appointments with different doctors and only go with the ones that are recommended by friends.

Yep it all depends on what needs doing. They could do lower eyes, or upper and lower, mini fact lift ( that is when things are too bad and they basically do near the cheek area), full facelift etc.

Saw this program though on Discovery where there is this place in Africa you can go. You tell your friends you are going on Safari and go there, they do the surgery and you actually go on Safari tours etc. while you heal. Apparently the cost of this is the same as what you would pay in the U.S. but you get a wild adventure with it.

The woman they profiled looked fantastic after the surgery. Not all tight faced...real nice job they did.

He should stick to the Beverly Hills doctors; do not bargain shop for plastic surgery. Expect to pay around $10k for a nose job. If he wants other procedures done on his face, get them done at the same time as the rhinoplasty, its cheaper that way (those anesthesiologists are expensive).

He should also pump people at the different plastic surgery forums for as much info as possible. The best doctors are in LA and NYC, but there are a few good ones scattered in between both costs (like Toriumi in Chicago and Bellin in Dallas). Tell him to choose wisely because revisions are not cheap; he should also give the nose a year to 'settle in'.
