50 heading to vancouver

Brad Xtremepay 01-17-2004 10:49 PM

Okay. Webgurl says we're going to Whitespot. The one right near Stanley Park.

So that's what we do. :)

Elli 01-18-2004 12:21 AM

Aw man, I love Moxie's! Their chicken primavera is just lovely. But White Spot it is...

I used to play goal in street hockey, but that was back in high school. And we played at midnight in the Safeway parking lot. Not during the bloody daytime. :)

Shemp, quit hiding from me! Where did you gooooo? :)

hershie 01-18-2004 12:54 AM

OK, I guess no takers for hockey. But in case someone reconsiders, we will be at Cooper Park which is right underneath the Cambie Bridge on the north shore of False Creek along the water.. That is where Marinaside Drive meets Expo Ave. in Yaletown. Be there at 10:15 as we start at 10:30.

StuartD 01-18-2004 01:02 AM

wow... starting to wonder what I'm getting myself into here.

And you guys wonder why I never make it out to these things? :1orglaugh

PhillipB 01-18-2004 02:14 AM

I wanna go 'cause I miss my Internext crew.

(but I'll be snowboarding in Mammoth) ;-( No wait, ;-)

You guys forgot Kat, you should invite her.

Elli , they have that dish there too , its very good if not better then moxies ... Moxies i had a bad chicken burger there .

I just thought it would be easier access for downtown especially parking , the food there is actually pretty good !!

Magnus have u even been to that one ? Not the old one on georgia , closer to the one by stanley park !

awwwww man now u guys made me feel bad :(

rip raster 01-18-2004 05:29 AM

Sorry Webgurl.. I meant no diss..:1orglaugh as long as I'm in the company of you fine folk it does'nt matter.

Elli 01-18-2004 01:40 PM

Hey magnus, I almost had dinner at Carlos & Bud's last night, but we ended up at Moxie's instead.

I'm happy wherever we go.Hell, it would be fun to tear up a Denny's with you guys. Just nobody steal Shemp's bacon. He'll murdalize ya! :)

Anthony_A 01-18-2004 01:53 PM

If Shemp goes, I"m gonna have to go.

This time, I'm not gonna wait 3 years to actually meet him.

CyberNut 01-18-2004 04:37 PM

I suggest after dinner going to Fluid...we had a blast there last time the Vancouver convention was here.

Elli 01-18-2004 05:23 PM

I second that motion!

Brad Xtremepay 01-18-2004 05:33 PM

Nice that sounds like fun!

I think whitespot is good just because it is free parking, easy to find and the new one is nice.
And what can I say, I am whipped. ;)

:(
What if we just go streaking?

Elli 01-18-2004 07:45 PM

I was at Atlantis last night. It has a cool setup, but I don't know what their cover charge is like. Huge dance floor with some nice couches in a raised area. http://www.atlantisclub.net/

It's just down Richards from RIchards on Richards. ANyway, it's just an idea.

maja 01-18-2004 09:38 PM

count in Backov from Spotbrokers and possibly Randy from Renegade TGP!!

i've got passes for Richard on Richards, Shine and some other clubs.

infectd 01-18-2004 11:08 PM

Whats the count so far guys?
I'm still debating.. :(

FreeNetPass Jenefer 01-19-2004 01:49 AM

Maja can I have a ride PLEEEEASE?

and I dont see why we dont go to Hershies places....

much better than a noisy expensive club!

PhillipB 01-19-2004 01:55 AM

First you guys want to go to White Spot, then you decide on Fluid? What's with the semen motif in B.C.?

Lemme guess, you have an Irish bar named McSpermishes.

Or a fast food place called Bukkake King?

You could get Chinese: Cum Pao Chicken Palace.

For dessert, you could get some Spewmoni ice cream.

:1orglaugh

FreeNetPass Jenefer 01-19-2004 01:59 AM

I think YOU look at too much Gay porn!

More Vancouver news:

If anyone is considering buying a home in the near future and wants to get a fixed mortgage, you should lock in now and get the current rate guaranteed until you are ready to buy. They just came down again on Friday and you can get a 5yr fixed for 4.75%.

If anyone is looking to move/rent, a place is opening up in my building which is very rare and may be the best value for your money in Vancouver.

Yeah, everyone is most welcome to go but remember a bathing suit and towel. Or if not, my place on Beach is only a few minutes from White Spot.

Brad can vouch for me :)

Hey Hershie, can you post more info? Been looking to get a place in Vancouver for a while. Yaletown is a one of my favorite areas!

If you are referring to the rental, its not in Yaletown but on Beach Ave. in the West End/English Bay, across the street from/ocean/beach/seawall. I mentioned it, as rarely does an availability pop up in my building and if it does, it is taken before anyone has a chance to snag it and never will it make it into the newspaper (there are 8 units on 2 floors and I am the rookie here at 6 years). Its the smallest and oldest building on Beach and tourists take pics of it...The suite for rent is really nice (about 925 s.f. w/ hardwood floors...). Rent is $1000 which for the area/building/suite has to be up there as the best value in the whole city for what you get. My friends just bought a house yesterday and want to move out mid-Feb. and nobody knows about the upcoming availaibility yet.

Mmmmmm...street hockey. Haven't played street hockey for years but this sounds intriguing. Is it every Sunday at that location? How many people?

Fuzebox is a PHP Guru and good guy.

He drives a little too fast, but then I was right behind him.

I think we did Whistler to Squamish in about 20 minutes?! :)

That sounds like the opposite of 1000 Beach, the newest and largest building on that street (I have some friends in that building). :-) Although that suite does sound sweet, I'm looking for something a little bigger. I appreciate the info and have fun with the Van girls this weekend!

Yes, every Sun. at same place. We are usually about 10 to 12 guys. I am the oldest player (39) and most out of shape.. Its pretty casual, no equipment (we have nets and goalie sticks).

PhillipB 01-19-2004 12:41 PM

Hey Elli,

I e-mailed you but no reply? ;( Maybe got lost in your pile of fan mail!

infectd 01-19-2004 02:28 PM
