I was working on a design in Photoshop when suddenly I got a blue screen error message and my computer immediately restarts itself with no warning. Now when I try to open the PSD file I get an error message that say Photoshop cannot open the file because an unexpected end of file was encountered. I can't open it at all! Can I rollback my system configuration to one hour ago? or just restore that one file to it's last saved incarnation somehow because it seems to have been corrupted. Who knows the best way to go about this?

Well it would make sense that you roll back. Because then that would mean that the corrupted file would not be corrupt anymore. Try it and see what happens. If that doesnt work. I'll have you do something else. -
I just tried a system restore - the file still won't open.Originally posted by Ibuprofen

When a psd file gets corrupted, you just might start it again from scratch.
Try deleting photoshops prefs first but I am not sure if this helps in your case.
good luck anyway
