Great car, unless you get into a hairy situation and the only thing that will save you from a painfull death will be a car with good handling, at which point you realise your corvette handles like a turd on wheels.

No that would be a shitty driver. The vette handles awesome. Maybe not as good as $100k+ sports car would but still very good.

After trying out a vette and a viper, the vette gets my vote for being the most comfortable. Way roomier than the viper.

The Corvette for the first time in it's history is going to be able to srtand up to the rest of the world GT cars woth nothing to hang it's head about.

The new car will be built alongside the Caddy XLR two seat luxuary sport coupe. The Caddy will have more plush amenities but the vette will get an signifigant upgrade in the interior appointments.

This version will be the best handling, best performing, and most apprpriately equipped Corvette to roll off the Bowling Green line.

As far as the Camaro you can expect to see Bob Luts bring back the name plate based on the initial sales reaction of the new retro 05 Mustang.

The SSR is suppose to be a comparable replacement for the Camaro but will not be able to capture as broad a demographic. The chatter unconfirmed is that Chevrolet would like to bring back the camaro as a specialty car like the SSR that will have retro influence of the 67-69 model years.

With the Holden platformed GTO in production....it is doubtful the Firebird will return....but you never know

The problerm witht e f-body was that in the end it was just a few more dollars off the sticker than the vette. This alienated the very market the car has always been designed to appeal to....the youth market. A young guy could no longer afford to buy the rumbling V8 tire smoking heritage of the Camaro/Firebird

To each his own. I am never one to critisize a guy for his choice in toys. I do own both a hopped up mustang and a SCd (d1sc) Z06 and I can tell you the Mustang is not even close in comparison.

Now the new Mustang I will have to take a close look at but I have driven the latest cobras and they still have a way to go.

Bottom line is its good to see American car makers getting back into the power wars of the 60s. Gotta love it.

I just bought a 4x4 SUV the other day, nothing spectacular but its paid for, will play in the desert and get me to the coast for my fishing trips. Thats pretty much all I care about in a vehicle anymore.

Its roomier than I tought, especially the new one. The only thing I dont like about this the Viper and the Ferrari , is that they are alll starting to look alike.They are so generic looking all the individuality lost:2 cents:

The TVR Sagaris and the Peninsula TVR / JCB Tuscan R, fresh from its unveiling at the International Autosport Show at the NEC, will be on display at Peninsula TVR next week.

Both TVRs will be on display at Peninsula TVR from Monday 12th until Wednesday 14th January.
