Who here is sharp with business? I need some business advice

I've been promoting a revshare program for a year and I'm up to the point now where it's bringing me about $130/day without much effort. The amount of money I make from them builds slowly, like back in May of '03 I was making $70/day from them, June it was $79/day, last month it was $120/day, and now it's $130/day so its solid.

I dont think they shave me because the numbers I send them and the numbers they report to have gotten from me are the same, and it's been easy to sell.

I like it because I do nothing, I just send signups and they take care of the rest and give me my cut. It's the easiest money I've ever made, but could I be making more on my own?

Would I be better off sticking with this or starting my own site?

at this rate it'll be another year before I start seeing $200/day and 2 or 3 years before I start to see $3-400/day, could I get there faster with my own site, or is there costs involved with having your own site that I'm not thinking about?

Unfortunately, you can't count on a sponsor being there 2 or 3 years from now, especially a per sign-up. They come and go.

I'd say build your own site, send half your traffic there and half to this program. You may find that your own site(s) don't convert traffic as well as they sites you are sending to now because the sites you are sending to now have a couple hundred grand worth of content and I'm guessing your won't.

Paysite.

and to answer the other questions, I make money with other sites, but this $130/day one is my big one that brings me the most. I dont know if I should leave things the way they are and count my blessings that I found a good one, or go on my own and get there faster (maybe).

I do promote a bunch of other sites, about a dozen, but the numbers with the other sites are never consistent, Good one month, bad the next, horrible the next.

Putting all of your eggs in one basket is bad, bad news. Especially these days. Several companies died and drifted away in 2003. Though I have a feeling 2004 is going to be a great year for many, companies will still fail and fall off the face of the earth. The site you're pushing could be one of those companies. If that company dies next month, what will your income be?

Pretty scary to me. I got fucked a couple years back because all of my income came from one company. The dot com bomb rolled through and said company was put out of business. My income went out the door. Luckily I had some bad ass savings, but it took almost 2 years to get back a comparable income. Now I have my income spread out and coming from many sources, including adult and mainstream. In my mind, I'm much more secure.

If I were you, I would replicate what you're doing right now, but for a different company. Start sending some traffic to another site and building up your second revenue stream. Then create a third. And a fourth. You get the idea.

Well, it all depends on you then. Do you want more work? Can you handle more work? Opening a paysite is just as much a gamble as anything else. Can you promote it? Afford to create it or buy it ready made from someone else?

If you are already making $4,000 a month plus doing all your shit then I'd look at buying real estate. Actually I would have done so about 5-6 years ago when it was cheaper. You kinda missed that bandwaggon...

What is your schedule like? Do you have a few hours extra to throw into something else without losing ground in your current activities? If you are successful enough to make money on a free site then maybe you should think about opening another one and tweak it more often to try and make it produce more than the original. You seem to know free sites, so do what you already know.

i'd say diversify but in a focused way and don't go the paysite route because the risk of a sponsor going offline or changing dramatically is probably less (if carefully selected) than your own site. Plus there's no comparison between a large sponsor's content and ability to produce that and yours if you are just a webmaster with no experience in that domain.

If you've figured out how to make $130 a day without much effort, you just need to ad a zero and you can make $1,300 a day.

Duplicate whatever is working just like baking cookies.

or duplicate what you do. you've got to get more money so you can re-invest. its great that you're on the rise but you're still only making wages at this point.
you must work harder but I applaud your efforts to seek out advice.

well it's $130 from that big sponsor, but throwing in ALL the sites I promote it comes out to about $200/day.

so far this month I'm at $221/day from what statsremote is reporting.

I dont know how to replicate what Im doing now because I submit galleries and I can only do 1 a day.

Your making that much just submitting galleries? Time to start buying TOP gallery spots, that is how you replicate what you're doing. Hit up cybercatinc.com and gallerytrafficservice.com and you will be blingin' in no time.

Keep doing what you are doing BUT start planing for your next move. Which it sounds like you are doing.

Don't count on the money you're making now being there next year! Too many sites go under or just stop converting for some reason.

Plan on using your money now to build something else.

Think outside of porn and I think you will be smart!!
