Obviously type-ins are better, at leats now.
Some ppl are afraid that credit card companies may stop processing porn, or adult content will be allowed in a few years only under .sex, or that the number of type-ins is going down each year.
But nowadays you obviously get better return on type-ins.
I wish I had some of them.

Interesting question. Domains and real estate have many similarities. Domains are the real estate of the internet.

Owning sex.com is like owning land in Times Square in New York, but owning hotbabes4u.org is the equivalent of owning Florida swampland

Some recent domains that have sold on Afternic.com:

megaballs.com - $5,450

Password.net - $20,555

megagame.com - $5,000

privatebanking.com - $6,610

graphic.com - $10,000

geam.com - $7,450

TiUSA.com - $7,450

tits.info - $5,000

GenePharm.com - $7,624

fucked.com - $17,000

Recon.com - $12,000

hiusa.com - $17,450

enhance.com - $20,000

evangelist.com - $9,000

ProProject.com - $60,000

Not a bad return on your money if you think about the fact that all those domains were once registered for about $30

Perhaps, but what I said is still true. All those domains that sold for thousands were once upon a time probably registered for about $30. On a percentage basis, those are amazing returns.

ProProject tracks employee and contractor time and expenses -- through a web browser -- it features a quick and intuitive setup

I'm far to scared to invest 500K-1000K+ on a domain. I would never ever give that mutch on a domain. And besides, you can use some of your RE to live in, free vacations

Surely you don't really mean 500k to 1000k.

There is a big difference, people will always need places to live, they dont need to look at the internet.

A few years ago type-in domains were great investments, but I'm not so sure if I would invest my money in an expensive type-in domain now.
