I only got back in to the UK about 12 hours ago and I am jetlagged to hell so I am sure I will think of other things but just somethings:
- Everyone is shorter than I thought they would be - and I am a serious short ass.
- To plant myself in key locations on the floor and let people bump into me rather than me walking around in circles trying to find them. If that fails tell everyone you meet the people you are looking to meet and eventually someone will get the word back to that person.
- Next year figure out how to rent a cell phone because for a small town Vegas is a big place with lots of places for people to hide.
- US Airways has cleaning crew in Vegas that are more than willing to steal a wallet off a man in a wheelchair whilst he is being helped into a wheel chair.
- The Aladdin computers in the room thing is a great help.
- The Aladdin however is 'alive' in the sense that everytime you touch anything metal and electrical you get a shock. I ended up holding money in a tissue before putting it in a slot machine after one shock came complete with a blue spark.
- Wearing your pass back to a hotel other than the one the convention is held near brings all the old guys who are waiting for AVN to start out of the woodwork and they start asking you about porn stars.
- Most people are a lot nicer and/or wimpier to you face
- The last day on the floor was the most productive because most of the 'just there for the beer and boobs' types were still passed out.
- Ducking flying boobs on the convention floor is a true skill.
- Tofu is a serious cutie, a nice guy and rubbish at video Volleyball.
- Despite being from Texas Stacycat does not have a Texan accent.
- Denny's waitresses approach physical meltdown when presented with 30 people walking in and asking for a table.
- Mr and Mrs Marylou are seriously cool and Mrs Marylou in particular knows how to get her freebees.
- Amelia and Forrest Black are hard to pin down but really worth it when you finally meet them.
- European Lee and the Studmoney crew are real sweethearts. I wish I had met them earlier on in the show.
(one for the girls to understand) - an eight hour flight with cramps is not nice ..always pack midol.
