    Google Positions = Gone

Well, I was only small really, but I was getting a bit of Google traffic (1k-2k) a day, but I am now removed from Google as a result of my host. I tried to stick it out with them intially (when they kept telling me it would be online in a matter of hours, but than after realising about 24+ hours later that it was not going to be on anytime soon I signed up at another host.

On my part, I didn't have all my sites backed up, and some of most important sites had just had some pretty big changes, so being under the impression that they would be online any hour, I told my new host to wait before he could transfer the whole account when the intial host came back online. After some more hours waiting, and a DNS change which prohibited me from getting any site online anyway, I went to bed, after talking to both hosts and being assured it would be sorted by morning.

Anyway, I woke up this morning to find all my Google ranks have gone. I guess it is a lesson learnt, but I am wondering what will Google do? When will they return my positions - will it be quicker than usual, or will I still have to wait a few weeks to actually get back there. Anyway, I am pissed. Oh yeah, and the intial host is still down.

For me it really varied, some very quick, the sites what Id call "real sites" where quick, but the "not so real sites" (sites I made for google) are much slower, I had some good number 1 positions that disapeard and still not got back, but like wise with some it only took weeks

Its not hard to find out with a little search, but I am going to try not to name them. As pissed as I am, I was friendly with one of the owners, and I wanted to try and leave on good terms - even if they fucked me I guess.

Ok, I think my sites would be classified as real sites (plenty of good unique content on there, which is very relevant) but weeks sucks. Although it is no doubt going to cost a fair bit of money (was averaging about $70-$100 sales a day through it), I just hope that my ranks do come back. A couple of weeks sucks though.

Well... I'm using the same host for a few sites and being mad at them kinda useless. It's fucking horrible for them too, they're losing their clients and $ too. And they're really trying to fix it. Anyway, they will be back soon. And I'm not gonna drop them, cause they're honest and working as hard as they can to get it up again. It's just harder, cause it's reseller hosting.

But, if you're moving, ICQ me if you wanna know some other good hosts.

Yeah, I know it has been devastating to them too. Sucks all around.

Yeah, I knew some cockhead would get a laugh

I only started making adult sites after a couple of months of checking out this forum and some others. I was only starting up, and I had been talking to the owner for awhile and had given me some tips and stuff for building sites, so when it came time to join a host I just picked him.

I mean, I was only small (still am really - especially after this), and I could handle an hours downtime here and there, and they seemed reasonably stable after a few months so I was just going to stay on, until I needed a nice dedicated host like isprime. You have a point though, and I have learnt.

In my experience you will come back in afew days as long as the site isn't down too long.
                          Good Luck.
Enough can't be said about having a reliable host.
Forget looking for the cheapest.Look for the best. You will be richer in the long run.
