I love hearing those who claim Blacks are somehow physically superior (i.e. in sports, etc) claim that the idea that Whites and others (i.e. Asians) may be intellectually superior as absurd and absolutely racist. If Blacks could evolve to be more physically superior, is not possible for other racial and ethnic groups to evolve, through natural selection, to be intellectually superior?

I don't really know enough on the subject to claim either way, but all these bullshit excuses for everything bad that can be attributed to Blacks as being 'an educational issue' or a result of 'oppression' sure contrast with those (who without hesitance) will admit that Blacks are likely born physically stronger, faster, etc.

My point is that if we are all supposedly from the same race (the 'Out of Africa' theory) and we have all evolved to be so different physically, why is it so absurd to imagine that we are intellectually different?

I mean, one race being physically larger than the other is surely a result of that race living in a more physically demanding place? So therefore if one race or ethnicity (which is isolated from most of the world) is to live in a more intellectually challenging place, is it not possible for natural eugenics to take place?

I think if a poor African child was eduacted from birth to the same standard as a rich American he should be just as clever. It's a case of local conditions as you say.

The issue is too complex really though because you would have to considder whether is's possible to inherit basic survival / instictive knowledge from your parents / ancestors.

I don't believe african americans are physically superior, there are just a lot of social issues pushing them into sport instead of neurosurgery, additionally the brain hasn't evolved much in 2million years and a homosapien from that time would be about as bright as someone today. secondly for evolution to occur there must be environmental pressure given that ALL races lived in pretty much the same conditions until about 2000 years ago there is no evolutionary need to be "smarter" or any driving force unequal between cultures. 2000 years is not long enough for any noticeable difference in evolution, also intelligence in a macro evolutionary sense hasn't a lot to do with survival in recently modern civilisation.

As for your bit about the same conditions, do you really consider places such as Europe (Russia for an extreme example), and Southern Africa 'the same'? At the time homosapiens entered Europe (around 30,000 - 40,000 years ago) they would of no doubt had to combat such things extreme cold, fighting with the primitves already there (for cave space, food, etc), as well as a host of other DIFFERENT issues which we can hardly even comprehend.

Although it is hard to really know what issues faced each people, I think it is pretty reasonable to assume that their environments and cultures were vastly different.
