Iron Maiden- new or old?

That was less than 24 hours ago. They we're old when I started listening to them back in '82. They must be in their early 70's. I hope I have that much energy at 69.

Listening to:

"Prowler"

Iron Maiden

Old Maiden is best, especially the Bruce Dickinson years, before he left and came back.

What's the new CD like? I heard one song and I was surprised it sounded pretty good, a lot like their old stuff. I think I might buy it this weekend to make up for all the songs I've downloaded last year.

Nicko is 52, but the rest of the boys are in the the 46-48 year-old range. They were fairly young when they took off with 82's Number of the Beast. The new Dance of Death is decent, but they will never come close to the classic 1980-1988 era. The 90s were a write off. One big problem is they kept Janick Gers after Adrian returned. He is widely considered to be one of the poorest rock guitarists alive - and he dances like a fool live. Janick is more suited for a Winger tribute band than Maiden.

Iron Maiden rocks my face...

I saw them live in '00, they came to Vegas with Queensryche and Rob Halford (Judas Priest). One of the best concerts ever.

Classic Maiden is still the best though, everything through Powerslave... after that they kinda lost me.

Iron Maiden kicks ass. Saw them over the summer with Motorhead and Dio. Awesome show.

First time I listened to Maiden in about 6 months. It's fucking great going back and hearing the music that I grew up to. I'm glad to see fellow Maiden heads around.

Up the Irons!

Iron Maiden rocks my socks off. Big time fan of them.

They are playing in Buenos Aires tomorrow, will have
to skip this one for personal reasons. But already saw them
2 times live... kickass.
