Having some display problems. Help!

For the last week or so, my computer has been having some minor, and some major problems.

Every now and then, my mouse pointer seems to gather little pixels around it. Fragments of whatever was around it when i cicked the mouse, and they just follow it around.

Then sometimes, if i search google, instead of the searched text coming up in bold in the results, it just doesn't show up. This has also been happening in some applications. Text just not appearing where it should be.

My computer is also freezes if i watch an hahahahahaded movie, especially when i change windows and then swap back to it. Just constant annoying shit like this.

No idea what the fuck is going on. Anyone had anything similar to this?

Are all the plugs securely fixed on the back of the screen?
Have you checked what else is running when this happens? Is it possible that you have a virus?

Windows XP
AMD 2200+ (not overclocked)
GeForce 4 Ti4200
512MB RAM

It is summer here, and i'm thinking overheating might be a bit of a problem, but the case doesn't feel overly hot to touch. I just noticed that there are new drivers for the video card, so i'll try that out.

I think something, maybe spyware, is eating your memory. I have the same problems if i didnt reboot in days and use a lot of graphics.
