:BangBang:

they already do that kindove for all .exe programs... the person that compiles it will have their hd number serial number and whatever else they wanted in there.. how do you think they catch the people that create virus's? the one's they don't catch weren't compiled on their computers..

I would love more than anything to go on a 1 week guided tour, with totally unrestricted access, of the Fed's highest level computer centers to see what they really are gathering on everyone these days. I'm sure it would be an eye opener.

But what else is going on if you open a picture of currency in Photoshop? Does it secretly forward your ISP info to the Feds? Or you e-mail address?

Also it mentions the same technology can restrict the creation of adult pictures.

Possibly not, if you have a good firewall setup.

in wich version of photoshop is this shit going on 8.0 or also in 7.0 i hate it when programs try to connect to the net same shit with windows

BV 01-10-2004 08:48 AM

Super high end scanners or coppiers (cant remember) have a similar feature. If you try and scan any currency it will lock up the machine and you will have to call the manufacturer for the unlock code.

Use a good hardware or software firewall setup, it should block all outgoing traffic.

Not to mention its probably wasting processing power (and valueable seconds of your time) every time you open an image trying to identify if it matches XYZ....

Right now it could just be US currency that its looking for (but who really knows, it's closed source)

... but in the future, how much processing power will be wasted while looking for patterns that match whatever else is incorporated into it.

But hey wasting processing power on uneeded tasks is good for the economy right? It makes it so people have to buy a new computer every year.

Hmm and here is another thought....

If you do trigger abobe's secret routine - does it attempt to phone home to tell someone?

I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
