PLAYERS BALL THANKS - official thread - D$'s review of the Ball
First, I'd like to thanks everyone who attended and sponsored the Players Ball this year. CEcash.com $ Epassporte.com were our main sponsors, big pimpin' this year. Both companies are the greatest to work with, so if you're not doing business with them yet, you should.
I'd also like to thanks our other big sponsors for their support: TooMuchGreen.com (big time sponsor, next largest contribution after CEcash and Epassporte) Porngraph.com Pussycash (Woody Award and Players Ball Sponsor) Statsremote.com BangBrosOnline.com Candidhosting.com ISPrime.com FocusAdult.com Reflected.net Redpartners.com I must say, this is a very nice blend of services behind this party. If you went to the Ball, please checkout their websites. They sponsored this party because they want to do business with you or they just appreciate your business already. Here's my take on the event: The venue - The venue was the biggest hit, very classy. It was truely a PLAYER'S Ball. The service was incredible, courteous and very friendly. Everyone got in quickly and in an orderly fashion. The limo's helped regulate the flow of people traffic. It was an intimate club, lot's of tables and seating, very cozy. The security guys were as professional as any I've ever seen in any venue in the U.S.. Lot's had to do with our over staffing the security, the hostesses, waitresses and bartenders. Hey C2K in the Venetian, GoFuckYourself! The Go Go Dancers - Extremely hot, incredible bodies AND they can really dance. I wasn't sure if we'd have lot's of hot single women going to the Ball for our players, so we had to give you something to look at besides a bunch of dudes. I was impressed that we had tons of hotties there as guests. I guess our sponsors who had the passes made sure the beautiful people were in attendence. DJ Green Lantern, Naughty By Nature, DJ Evan & Too Short were happy to have these dancers asses shaking in front of them all night, they loved them ho's! The Limo's - We had about 20 rides ranging from stretch Hummers, Excursions and party buses. I personally made sure our guests were taking our limo's, some didn't know it was included with the passes. I guess those peeps didn't read their passes. I know Sleazy's limo charged them, which shouldn't have happeded. I caught it on tape with my camera guys. We're trying to figure out if they took a different companies limo or if it was ours. It said "High Roller Limo" and not "24/7". Either way, I'm making sure they are refunded their money back. I have a feeling we were hustled by a competitor who bullshit us into thinking they were ours or they had a driver who was a dipshit looking to make a buck, we'll find out. If anyone else had it happed to them, let me know and I'll see if I caught the video of it as well. Minus that one incident, we had more then enought limo's to take our people back and forth. The limo's went until 2:30 am. These cars can hold almost 30 people each and are super phat. The Performers - DJ Evan started of the night with a nice blend of hip hop, dancehall reggae, old school jams with news school blended. DJ Green Lantern made him take half of his albums away so it wouldn't conflict with his set, fair enough. Knowing that, DJ Evan was the man with the sets he played. DJ Green Lantern - Definitely New York's hottest DJ, fasting rising DJ in the game. He's Eminem's DJ, has lot's of hit mix CD's and does remixes for Snoop, Busta, Eminem, 2Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z and every big rapper in the game. His newest CD is a huge hit, it's for that 2Pac & Biggie movie, Resurrection. He was super high energy high hop and kept our crowd happy. The Go Go dancers worked extremely well for him, and vice versa. He gave us over 2 hours throughout the night, much more then we expected, he had a blast. Too Short - I would say it was his best Players ball performance ever. He started off with a song off the new album, "Choosin'" and it was a hit. Then he played about 3 or 4 classics. I decided to end his performance early so we could do the Big Woody Awards. Usually it's the artists that can delay the awards when they take their time getting to the stage. They don't understand that it's a private party with a set schedule, they're use to it being their fans so they do it on their schedule. Too Short was ready he second he got there, he doesn't play that, he's down anytime we're ready. We didn't have time for him to do our new website tune, Pimpandho.com. I sacrified my tune so the sponsors could get their recognition since it was already running behind. But man, Short Dogg kicked ass and our crowd really loved it. Naughty By Nature - One of the best performances of all time for the Players Ball. They love porn and they loved the party and people attending. The reason I chose Naughty was because they have so many hit's that people can dance to. The are the perfect hip hop show and our crowd was going nuts. The sound had an issue for about 10 minutes, some drunk ho spilled an entire drink into a monitor. They played through it like true pro's. Acually, if you were downstairs, it didn't sound that noticable. It was fixed pretty quick and the show was super tight. The highlight was when Money B from Digital Underground got on stage and the did a 2pac tribute and gave Money B his props in discovering 2Pac. Treach has a 2pac tattoo he showed our crowd and was really heart felt with his salute, great moment. Big Woody Awards - Pussycash was the official sponsor, huge thanks to them. I was going to implement a new policy that you must be there to accept the award or we'll give the award to another worth person in the venue. It looks bad when sponsors don't accept their awards, makes it really uncomfortable and loses party momentum. I still honored our winners because it was hard to tell if they were in the club or not, and I didn't want to take away their big dicks after telling them they had won already. I have their dicks still and MIGHT send it to them later. Winners who did accept their awards were: thread too long, to be continued in next post

All the stuff that was played by DJ Green Lantern was too commercial... I know the kind of songs he drops on his monday night show here in NY and its nothing close to what we heard at the PlayersBall..

continued from my first post
Big Woody Awards - Pussycash was the official sponsor, huge thanks to them. I was going to implement a new policy that you must be there to accept the award or we'll give the award to another worthy person in the venue. Winners who did accept their awards were: Sleazydream - Newbie of the Year AaronM - Chatboard Personality of the Year J$tyle$ - Trend of the Year for ContentBlowout.com - everyone says Contentblowout these days, or blowout Alec Helmy - Solid Player of the Year - ASACP, XBiz, Awards, Gigacash, gives back to our community and is a solid guy Mike Price (Silvercash) - Best Company Image - his branding on the hotel keys, flyer band arounf AVN Online mag, both display, etc. He's a brander. Ron Jeremy - Mainstream Crossover of the Year - New TV Show airing next week, People Magzine, Barbara Walters, mainstream movie, book, he's mainstream alright. D$ - For Throwing These Players Ball's. I was told in advance that I was getting an award from KB and J$tyle$, but I decided not to accept it, thought it's cheezy to give myself an award, my plan was to give it to Jenna and her girls. They did it anyway, fuckers. Anyway, thanks for the recognition. They said it was for throwing these parties for the last 5 years, this being the 10th. Tom Hymes - We're sooooo sorry, we never had a chance to announce his award because Naughty By Nature's people cut us off to do their performance, same thing happened with Silvercash, but I managed to stop everything and get back to do Mike's Woody, Tom was just slighted and he was in attendance. He won it for best editorial, his articles in AVNOnline magazine was awesome, he really gets our industry and works hard at learning more and more every day. I'll announce the other winners later, I just felt these needed a little extra exposure and props since they made the effort to go to the ball and wait a few extra minutes for their award. I learned my lesson that it's just too difficult to give awards like these Woodys during the Players Ball. It's my thinking to give back the spotlight to our best webmasters, but if they can't make it to the stage due to the venue, or decide not to go, it just looks bad. Thankfully it was only 20 minutes, we moved on fast all things considering. So next year, we'll have to do it differently, we'll still going to keep the Big Woody's alive because they are fun and it's a unique idea for giving the person an award instead of the company. The Woody's are hand sculped and each has a different shape and size. Aria and Sunny liked them alot too. Anyway, it's something for me to build on and figure out a better way in the future. Celebrities - Too many to announce, the most impressive was Joey from Insync. AJ was there from the Backstreet Boys as well. Who would have though the 2 biggest boy bands ever would be seen in a Players Ball at an internet porn party? I can go on and on with who else was there so I won't even try. My main concern is that our webmasters were there, celebs are just gravy. KB will pop in this thread and say who was else was there. Many major pornstars were in the house including Tera Patrick and Jenna. I heard Tera got married straight from the Players Ball. Can anyone confirm this? B Legit was kickin' as well, and other big name rappers. Passes Issued - We gave everyone plenty of warning in advance that if you don't become a sponsor you won't get a pass. I kept my word. Lot's of good friends might be hurt or offended they weren't hooked up, but please understand that without money these parties can't happen. So it's only fair to give all passes to contributing sponsors. Maybe next year people will know this is the new structure and to get on the Players Ball sponsor roster early. Remember, the private suites were sold off to sponsors, so it's up to them to give you a pass to get in, not me. I had lot's of people think they should have been in there. My response is, work their programs and ask them for a pass for their suite. Those rooms were small so the sponsors were very limited on the amount handed to them. We needed to be safe that it wasn't crowded. Same thing for the private tables, booths, etc. Those were our package deals we gave to sponsors. OK, thanks for reading this huge post, lot's to review. Feel free to add yor comments from the Players Ball, I love the feedback. I heard lot's of really big deals happened there, anyone got a story or deal to share? Oh yeah, The private rooms upstairs were the bomb! CEcash had their webmaster a free bar in that room and a nice assortment of food. We opened up mu suite with their suit and made one big ass private room with balcony. I wish I was able to hang up there more, looked like tons of fun. I'm streaming the video footage from my hotel room, I'm still in Vegas until Monday. The connection in these rooms really blow, otherwise I'd upload the videos now. Once the Internet speeds up from here I'll upload the videos. Great footage. JFK and AVN took the best pics, can't wait to see them. WANT A FREE PASS FOR NEXT YEARS PLAYERS BALL? Pop me an email if you have videos from the Ball. We are collecting as much as we can and can use whatever you have. If you have it and can send it as Mini DV, that's best for us, or VHS. Once we review the footage, we'll get back with you and let you know if you're hooked up for next years party, free sponsorship. I always allow camera's so I can get more footage later, but hardly anyone ever sends me tapes. So hook a brotha up! Email me - darren at marketingfirm dot com. Send us pics too if you have it and we'll see if we work the same deal. No promises, depends of what you shot. Thanks again everyone, I know this was one of the best ever, some say it was the best.

Good job D$ -
We did not stay late but it was definitely a cooler setting than in the past and no 4000 people waiting outside to get in. I will talk to you soon about a sponsorship for the Summer show if you are doing something there. Mitch

You looked like you were having a blast. I didn't have a chance to include a thanks to our other private table sponsors yet, Hustler had a nice private booth upstairs in that roped balcony. Thanks again. I'll include the other private table sponsors in a few when I grab that list. I'm watching the video right now for the first time. I was so busy all night I didn't really see what was going on. DJ Green Lantern had some hotties on the stage gettin' freaky! Loving the footage so far, I'm streaming! Videos coming soon. I have to edit around the parts that might get people in trouble, we got crunk!

I wish to thank all of the hot women who groped me all night....
I'd like to thank my date Monique Alexander for being the craziest bitch I have ever met in my life- Long story short - she got kicked to the curb for a major attitude adjustment I'd like to say once again that this Players' ball was truly special- My bro outdid himself on the care he took regarding the sponsors and entertainment- I know many of you have no idea how hard this is to pull off- If you did, most of you wouldn't even have take the time to try to grab me or DMONEY to ask a rhetorical question- If I came off a bit rude or short please keep in mind I try to aid my brother and the coordinators as much as possible- Knowing every webmaster in the biz can be a blessing and a curse- If nothing else- It helps get a lot of people in who may have been shut out normally...... That's why I was running around frantic all night= I am not a speed freak- Can't wait to see the pics, the VIDEO is off the chain- Big Props to the WOODY Award winners- My love to jenna, Tera, Aria, Sunny, Stephanie Swift, Alyssa Lovelace, Jessica James, Nikki Nova and too many others to name... Carl Bell from the band FUEL, Joey Fatone, AJ McClean, Paris Hilton- Too bad she was "no show" We were hoping to blow minds with her accepting a WOODY for her VIDEOTAPE- Paris I love you anyway- You made me FAMOUS!

no worries D - I gave the guy $100 and a few other people like brent from python antied up the rest. It didn't sound right even when he asked us for the cash, but rather than cause a scene we just paid him off. No refund necessary -that was the BEST players ball I've been to. I was VERY impressed. there was room to move, and lots of good people there. You're moving in the RIGHT direction D

Hey Guys, Thanks for the mention This years Ball was the best in a while. It happened to go off with out all the pain that was associated with the old venue. Nice intimate setting, off the top entertainment. One of the special moments in the show for me was chatching Sleazy fondling his Big Woody award, unaware of anyone around him. Happy to be a winner !!

It's amazing what changing a venue can do for the reviews. I'm glad everyone that went had a great time. I heard lot's of business was done as well, that's a bonus.
Huge thanks to my man Ivory, he was that guy with the big beard and bald head for those who don't know him well enough yet. He's on my Players Ball team, found that venue and handled lot's of details for us. Also big thanks to J$tyles & KB for helping out on the stage, true pimps. Big ups to the Prana Lounge, the best Players Ball venue and staff ever! It's so nice to have the respect from a venue, not really used to it. They really want our business and it showed. Their security was top notch as well. They're an upscale club, so they're used to playing that VIP treatment. Epassporte was the first to make this whole thing possible. Without their early support, I don't think I would have even tried to throw this last party. Once they said they'd secure a main sponsorship, it because a reality. I wasn't getting any sponsors and I was 2 months away from the targeted date. Sponsors are the most important part of the puzzle, without them, it doesn't happen. People expect to get passes for free, but no one wants to pay for a sponsorship. That's when we changed the structure for the smaller webmasters to afford sponsorships. Then CEcash came back to it's Players Ball roots and stepped it up in a big way. Having 2 of the biggest companies on the Net as our main sponsors makes me feel real proud of the progress of the Ball. So many others to thank, I got most of them earlier in this thread. Hustler, Adultlaw, JoinRightNow, Yenta, Netjumper, and others. I'll have more footage soon, taking a day off from streaming.
