He sent the checks like he said he would, my bank just refused to deposit them, so I called him last night and asked him to send them via Western Union. He's probably still asleep and will send it when he wakes up. No worries.

Oops, my bad. Why did your bank refuse checks, because they were from Canada by chance? My bank returned a sponsor check from Canada that was in US funds, fucking idiots.

That would be it exactly. Said it would take 3-5 weeks to process. Simply refused to do it.

So now I'm just waiting on the poor guy to recover from vegas enough to send me the Western Union. Hopefully that won't take 3-5 weeks.

Tala... by the time I got in every WU in canada was closed, it was 11:00pm so there was nothing I could do.

Guy, I apologized for my earlier statement but you need to chill. Do you know how long it's been? Even at $400 a clip this should have been long since over. Western Union does instant transfers from online also. If you had big problems you should have kept her updated instead of looking for you. You have OTHER PEOPLES MONEY in your hands including some of mine. If I wanted it to get to her in mid January I would have strapped it to a doves ass. Props on what you offered but your follow through sucks. And now you wonder why people have something to say about you? Look at the big picture before you fly off the handle over this.

I will never understand why people get defensive about things they shouldn't. If you read above you'll see I had a problem with Canadian checks too, not anybody's fault. You wonder why people are concerned about this when it's because we sent money. I have sent money to people in foreign countries 5 times in the last week and they got it the same day. The checks didn't get there immediately from what I've read in past threads. I took it as they still hadn't gotten there and apologized when it was cleared up.

You must admit that it was possible to get money from Canada to the US faster than this?

However Tala and I discussed over 50 ways to do this and because I do not have a CC, she does not have paypal, I dont have epassporte, we are in diff countries etc - it makes it a total pain in the ass.
