A civet cat that attempted to escape is held down by a health worker as another bludgeoned it to death at a wildlife market in Guangzhou, southern China, Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004. Amid a mass slaughter of civet cats, Chinese authorities said Wednesday they will launch a rat-killing campaign in the southern city of Guangzhou as they try to wipe out possible sources of the SARS virus. Ya it's pretty Discusting to look at but i eat meat. If it grossed me out enough i woundn't eat it. But cats being killed like that i think is unnecessary. I don't thiink cats carry SARS. They might as well kill people; they carry the virus!

Wasn't SARS originally started up from these cats? Either that, or they are carriers.

Well it's very hard to control disease. Look at mad cow and how rapidly it can spread. That's why they destroy whole herds of cattle. Ever see the site the Meatrix?
