    Kayla was just in a car accident

    Holly crap - talking to Kayla on the cell just now and they (david too) JUST got into a car accident.

    Totaled their classic car.

    David seems ok

    Kayla sounds like she's hurt. she smacked her head against the rear view mirror or something and isn't sounding good on the phone. She said the papamedics gave her a clean bill of health but I'm urging them to goto a hospital and get checked out. Apparently there's no trunk left on their car - to give you an idea of what happened. Seems an SUV rear rear ended them or something.

                                          Won't the SUV owner's insurance pay her ambulance and hospital bills? No matter who's fault it is, don't they ALWAYS consider the rear driver at fault in the case of rear end accidents?

A lot of the injuries from being rear ended aren't felt until 2 or 3 days after the accident. I NEVER go to the doctor and my back was screwed up from someone hitting us. It felt like a little ass bump when they hit us but I hurt like hell a couple of days later.

                                                                                                                              They will both have back pain tomorrow probably. I have been hit hard from behind on the highway before, drunk drive totaled my car. I felt fine though, went to the emergency room and got a clean bill of health.

My ex rolled my SUV on the I-95 at 60. Skidded upside for a huge distance, but miraculously came out relatively ok, except for cuts and scratches. She got out the hospital within about 6 hours. Even though I told her she should let them do more xrays.

                                                                                                                                                                                      About two weeks later she started getting nasty migraines and her back was killing her. Turned out the accident did a number on one little nerve area on her spinal column, which didn't cause problems right away but later did.

                                                                                                                                                                                      So you never know with these things.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Usualy when you hit someone from behind, you are at fault, except for say, someone crossed the solid white line when merging into traffic and you hit them, then it's thier fault

                                                                                                                                                                                          but thats the only case i can think of where it wouldnt be your fault to hit someone from the rear
