They had to notify up of the fact that that option is available and at least an email or something when a program activated it. Period. You can keep defending them but theres no way to talk this right.

hey they gave the webmaster a tool, the webmaster used the tool 2 cheat, the tool (other people have posted) could be used to other. I'm sure ccbill didn't put the tool in there software so a few webmaster could cheat. That would be just dam stupid of them.

how could they know. they would have 2 check each and every sponsors site's. no telling what is in there terms. then what if the sponsor change the terms. Shit they would have 2 hire people just to check sites all day.

I dont believe that you believe that ccbill wouldnt know about this....everybody with 2 braincells knew this would happen.
Well, i think our discussion is over...if you really think that ccbill didnt know about this then i have nothing more to say.

To meet the visa requirements and stuff like that I think they already were required to check out each and every site.

I think Battus stated his case poorly but to use the gun analogy if a person buys a gun and shoots people. Smith and Wesson should not have an issue but if he lets them know he is going to shoot people and continues to do it over a period of time. They do obtain liablity.

Disclaimer: This is just an opinion.

But its actually good because they publicly display that information. If a program chooses to shave you see it up front clear as day, so it actually helps to reveal a few shavers that would have just gone a different route in my opinion.

As long as that information is publicly viewable I dont see this as a bad action at all.

Agreed!

While I don't agree that the option should have never been made available Battus is 100% right in saying that CCBill is a piece of shit for letting it be abused.

If they wanted to offer such an option they should have..

a) Made sure programs that turned it on weren't advertising otherwise.
b) Told current affiliates who were under programs that decided to change from unlimited to something different that the option had been changed.
c) Shitcanned all the POS fuckers that turned it on while advertising "rebills for life".

I'm glad to say I haven't sent 1 cent in sales to a sponsor I can prove cheated me. If I had I would be in court getting my money why all you usual suckers say "It would be too hard to stop it so it's all good". Get fucking real people, this whole damn industry is built on scams but that DOES NOT make it OK.

Only a bit late eh? Maybe were getting screwed for years already by some programs.

We could easily be talking about few 100k over the years because of an option ccbill felt neccesary to implant but not to notify affiliates about.
