DirectNic manually aprove domain transfers ?
Here's an ecxerpt from FAQ
3. Once the administrative contact agrees to the registrar transfer, it is reviewed to prevent high-profile domains like "aol.com" from being transferred fraudulently. Some domains will require extra verification before being transferred. In addition, if we find that the domain is not transferable (not 60 days old, expired, locked by registrar, etc.), we will send an error message to the user who requested the transfer, cancel the transfer, and resubmit the transfer in a couple of days (auto system). 4. After verification, the request is sent to the Central Registry for approval. The Central Registry then informs the current registrar of the transfer request. After the current registrar?s approval, the Central Registry gives approval to directNIC to transfer the domain. Unless the current Registrar explicitly denies the transfer (for instance, the account may not be "in good standing" with them), it will usually complete this step within five (5) days. It can go through this step sooner if the current registrar explicitly approves the transfer. The time it takes for registry approval will vary from registrar to registrar. so they manually review ALL domain transfers ? |
