Banks are a pain. At least US banks. The only thing I use my USA bank account for is my 9-5 and porn money. All my betting and investing money is in e-gold or in a betonmarkets account.

The only thing I'm hiding from is the pain in the ass service at the bank. I didn't say I don't use them, I have to. I have money all over though from investment accounts, poker accounts, and my pocket. I would never put all my money in a bank, I trust the poker account I use with my money before them.

Why don't you trust the bank? Seriously? I would never put all my money in a bank either, some stashed cash is always advisable. I extend every trust to bank short of criminal or civil action against me. If they are court ordered to freeze assets, they of course will.
Other than that, there should never be a fear of banks.

I've done that before, most were very low balances. I did see a few high ones, but most were under $200.

I'm not a billionaire, never will be.

A friend had over $1,000,000.00 frozen by the government over a couple thousand dollar judgement against him he had no clue about. Was every penny to his name and took months to get straight.
