widescreen + IE problem

just bought an inspiron 8600 with 15.4 inch widescreen, but I have a problem: When I use Internet explorer all the images doesn't look good at all. Anyone can help on how to setup IE so that it shows images in normal quality.

So far the only solution I found is downloading opera. This solves my problem but I'd like to use IE.

thanks

most of those screens have a fixed/default resolution.

If you use a different res in Windows it makes things look
'strange'.

You'll notice your fonts look a million times better in the native resolution too.

There's an option in under Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, deselect Enable Automatic Image Resizing.

1280x768 isn't a widescreen res!

well, 4:3 would be 1024x768...so 1280 would be... wider.. lol

A lot of these widescreen monitors (mine anyway) are 16:10 instead of 16:9
can't seem to find a find a 1280x800 res on my card..
and the recommended res of 1920x1200 is just too fucking hard to see.. even on a 24"
