If you can't afford to BUY the shit in the store, you are doing something wrong...... Perhaps its time for the good folks at Burger King to give you that raise?

Fuck that why should I pay 20 bucks for a CD that has 3 good songs and a disk that is worth about 20 cents, Untill the music stars have to sell their $5 Mill mansion and one of their 7 $100,000 cars then we will look into buying the actual CD.

To be honest, DVD's are so cheap that it makes no real sense to bother to copy them.

But as for Music CD's, its always been interesting question is why are they so expensive?

A Hollywood film may cost 20 million to make, and the DVDs in the UK may sell for about £15. But why do music CD's cost £12, yet the cost to make one must be peanuts in reality. Its no wonder that there are so many pirated CD's out there.

But as for DVD's, most bought films are on large capacity DVD's. But a home DVD can only record half the amount, as such you have to playabout with the DVD to remove the unwanted stuff in order to fit it onto a recordable DVD. As such, is it worth the hassle and time when to buy DVD's are not that expensive.

But personally I would much prefer to buy the proper DVD and get not just the film but all the extras that go with it. I think most DVDs are well worth the money - and they seem to be getting cheaper too.

HAHAHAHA that's got to suck being america, being a Canadian I can D/L all I want just can't U/L and I can make as many copies as I want as long as they are not for profit. HAHAHAHAHAAHA
I think that's the same in the UK. I think the law does let you copy DVDS and CD's for your own use. Many people make copies of there VD's to play on there CD player in the car (so if someone breaks in and pinches them, then at least they have the originals).

Pirated CD's in the UK are big at the moment. But to be honest, record companies do not help themselves when they charge so much for a CD.

Actually, XBox games are the easiest of the bunch to copy -- if you have a modchip in your XBox that is.

When I have my own home theater, I will buy every single movies DVD that I have seen and liked. I just wanna have a collection of good movies and not afraid to spend some pocket change for it.
