Howto flush diskspace in BSD?

After i removed alot of files in BSD i still see no gain in available diskspace. When does it flush the "trashcan" in BSD?

Sometimes deleting a bunch of files doesnt always show up right away try a restart then go to www.freebsd.org

It was negative diskspace before i started to delete and i deleted some apache logs.

Got the shit working again. Had to stop apache and mysql as they were running crazy without diskspace available

There's your answer... If you straight out deleted the apache logfiles, apache still had the filehandles open and the filesystem didn't release the space until the handles had been closed. You can safely null out logfiles doing:

cat /dev/null > logfile
Your mysql databases might have gotten corrupted as well, just a heads up..
