Oh, you're probably watching the new degrassi, I have not watched that one, but I watched the older series when I was younger. The show had a lot of subjects no other show at the time would tackle, suicide, aids, abortion, all affecting the students. I'd imagine the new one would be as 'educational' as the older one.

Degrassi was cool.. when i was about 13!
i used to watch it everday after school, it was hardcore back then. Joey and the Zit Remedy Rocked! lol they have new series with spikes girl in it and a few of the oldies too, saw it on nickelodeon a few months back, very bizzaro |

I loved Degrassi when I was younger, and now the new one is on, it is pretty good too. But nothing compares to the original, definately classic Canadian TV.

I believe it was filmed somewhere just outside Toronto....in that that episode where "Wheels" gets in that accident it's the O.P.P that are there arresting him.
