great for veggies and bacon. i still use a real grill for my burgers, steaks, chicken, pork and fish!

L0stMind 12-31-2003 01:06 PM

its snowing in vancouver and I am still going to use my bbq for some chicken thighs for lunch :)

How hot does the george foreman grill get? I heard from my friend that it doesnt get hot enuf to leave seared grill marks properly - even tho you see them on the commercials.

Cooking a burger in a fry pan? thats insane. broil a burger or grill a burger. no other options.

I recently upgraded from the normal size to the double knock out version...that thing kick ass.

Oh and the variation of grilled cheese that hubby fell in love with when i did it....heat the grill and grill some sliced mushrooms and sliced onions...load up a slice of bread with cheese of choice, put onions and mushrooms on cheese and close sandwich. Then just grill until melted...yummy.

I've cooked EVERYTHING you can imagine on that dang grill.......

How about I put a book under the front to make it level and did pancakes!!!! They were the best, because I didn't have to flip them-heat on both sides- so they stayed thick and fluffy :-)

Yes, I guess I do manage to get away from my computer once in a while :thumbsup

My grill gets HOT, I mean really hot and stays hot after I've pulled the plug for awhile and mine DOES leave grill marks

Anyone ever tried making omelets on the grill or eggs? I wonder if that works??

myjah 12-31-2003 03:48 PM

don't cook anything on it for too long! the grill works great, just remember that it cooks alot faster than most methods and leaving anything on it for too long will dry it right out.
I love mine because i can have dinner done in a flash!

LMAO I know they're called grilled cheese. When I was a kid I used to always call them girl cheese :) LOL
Don't ask me why but I did :1orglaugh

Cooked my first burgers on it earlier, didn't have to flip em, both sides got hot enough to sear the grill lines on the meat. I cooked each burger separately.... 1st one had tabasco sauce in it and sprinkled with steak spice and garlic. The 2nd one had cajun spice mixed into it and then sprinkled with MORE cajun spice. I had some fresh Chiabatta buns on hand.

Damn them were good burgers.
