Anyone here taking Vioxx?

Dr prescribed Vioxx today after discovering arthritis in my knee as a result of my hit & run injury.

I'm kinda scared to take it after reading the side effects.

Anyone here taking this stuff and having problems with it?

I don't take it on a regular basis, but have took it a few times for aches and pains, never had any trouble with it.

side effects should be minimal to nil.. It's basically fairly similar to aspirin in it's mechanism of action, it's just less likely to lead to bleeding problems

i think vioxx is awsome. takes bout 4-5 days for it to get into your system good. but after that u will be pretty much pain free.

I was prescribed Vioxx after a back injury. I found that for me, an older generation drug, Relafen, worked much better. I noticed no side-effects from either.

I get a cortizone injection in my left shoulder twice a year... and take a vioxx once a week or so when it really acts up... never had any probs.
