Good for you, Chris! I didn't demand that my husband quit, but I begged like crazy. My dad got throat cancer and had to have his larynx removed and now I'll never hear my daddy's voice again. I don't want the same thing, or worse, happening to anyone else close to me. He quit, and I'm so proud of him! But my step-mother refuses to quit smoking and the stupid bitch has my dad smoking again. She going to kill him, yet.

Normaly I would tell some, and especialy if they were female, that they can stick thier ultimatum up thier ass and go bounce down the street

#1 Get rid of every cigarette in the house except one, even butts. Throw all ashtrays and lighters away. Use Febreez everywhere so you can't smell smoke anymore. Wash your bed linens and all clothes that smell smoky.

#2 Demand that no one smoke in your house ever again. If people are at your house and want to smoke, they can go outside.

JupZChris, seeing how young you are, you shouldn't have too much of a problem quiting, as long as you don't give into peer pressure when you're hanging out with your friends.

When you get older, and you have been smoking for a few years, that's when it becomes more difficult to stop.

Im 19 and i started smoking when i was 16 ... i havnt smoked long but i smoke alot .... I dont hagn out with anyone that smokes ... I usall yhang out with people way older .. like 25+ I dunno should be easy

Damn, all these people giving stupid conventional ways to quit smoking. Here are suggestions you can work into your daily routine.

1) Start weightlifting. When you get stress associate it w/ excercising. This way you can quit and develop a bod to get hotter chicks

2) Think about smoking when you are quiting. Think about it so much that you cancel your thoughts out of lighting up a butt.

3) Stay away from smoking establishments. Start hanging out w/ non-smokers during your "kick the habbit" days. Seeing other people smoke in the same room or hang out w/ brings on that urge really bad.

I think when it comes to kicking some habit it is always switching that habit into something more productive. You best bet is to start exercising or weightlift. You will help recover you damage lung tissue and build up muscle. Remember "ASSOCIATION" Whenever you feel the need associate it with something else. Hope all works out.
