I think a lot of it has to do with chargeback ratios - If they are high, then the scrubbing gets tougher -
Also - You get bad luck - Sometimes my declines run at 40-50% and then 2-3% for a few days -
As an average - I expect 6% declines (Taken over a year)

For December.
17.9% new transactions denied.
12.9% rebill transactions denied.

CCbill also.

you have to remember many times when declines the surfer goes back and enters correct info like address etc and it goes thru

You are about right... I just checked from Nov. 1st till today.

14.62% Decline percentage.

However, we have only had 6 chargebacks since Nov 1st. They scrub, but damn... basically no chargebacks because of it. Our Visa chargeback percentage is .026% for the year.

Its worth it

I used to be with ccbill and used to get around 20% declines. Now with Verotel I don't get the decline emails so I don't know for sure, but I do know I now make 100% more sales then when with Scrubbill..
