Keep it going bud, i've done workout for about 2 years, but not that much as you did. Though it worked great for me.

The hardest part is when your body is perfect, you tend to stop going to the gym, just "because it's already perfect". As soon as you stop going to the gym, the weight will come back! Watch that!

Raf1 12-29-2003 09:05 AM

I've never had weight trouble, so I don't exactly know how hard it is to lose weight, but congratulations :thumbsup

Anyone who has known me has known that I am a little on the heavy side. Being 6'3", having a thick frame, and having a slow metabolism, I have been over 200lbs since I was 15 and I have been over 250lbs for over 6 years.
After the LA show in November I decided I had to do something with myself. I was at 268lbs, my all time high. My energy was low and my self-esteem was not too great when it came to my physical appearance. I joined a gym a couple miles from my house that was open 24 hours a day and started going every day, rain or shine, whether I was sleepy, tired, in a shitty mood, etc.
After going to the gym every day for the past 5 weeks and doing my best to watch what I eat I have been watching the pounds drop off as I added muscle. Yesterday I weighed in at 251.6 lbs and went to the gym for 3 hours, pushing myself till my whole body burned.
I woke up this morning and weighed in at 249.2 lbs. You have no idea how encouraging it is to hit a goal like that.
I feel so damn satisfied that I am going to the gym today to push it even further ( I normally take Sundays off). I want to hit 245lbs by Vegas next week. I know I can do it if I stick to it. I've been told I'll never look skinny because of my body type, but because of that I can put on muscle to replace fat and at least look healthy. I don't care as long as I feel good about myself!

Anyone want a workout partner for Vegas? I'm game! :thumbsup

Workout in Vegas you got it.

Brad is right, (for once :winkwink: )I tried the quick fixes, they dont work in the long term.I was down to 210, then after the accident and inactivity , plus the wrong choices in food I am up to 237. It does not feel good , I know what you are going tru , best of luck and keep up the good work, one lb at a time :thumbsup

Zebra 01-29-2004 05:38 AM

Just got back from an early day/late night at the gym.
I finally got down to 240 lbs. :drinkup
Thought I would have hit 240 before this but I didn't count on muscle gain offsetting the weightloss.
As long as my body fat goes down I am happy.
Lost 2 pants sizes since Vegas and my stomach is getting flat. Can't ask for more than that! :thumbsup

I have to thank two very special people who have inspired me.
I couldn't do it without Hans and Franz constantly calling me a "girlie man".

Congrats man.

I need to lose weight but I have a very hard time with finding a right kind of diet. my taste in food is unusual in that I eat practically no vegetables. I love meat and pasta and stuff like that.

Good work Zebra! Keep up the great work and you will be at 200 pounds in no time at all.

Congrats

Bell 01-29-2004 11:09 PM

WTG Zebra....

keep it up...

lots of water...

and do NOT skip meals...

actually I read that 6 mini meals and snacks are best...
instead of 3 meals... and reduce caffeine as much as possible...
caffeine stimulates ones appetite... as does the aspertaime in diet sodas...
