100% Affiliate Programs

Which would you prefer..

100% of a first sale or 50% revenue sharing ?

Doing my sums, from most programs point of view offering a 100% upfront on the first signup would probably be worthwhile and attract significant interest amongst the 'looking for a buck now' crowd.

thoughts ?

Its the same question with PPS or Revshare payout model. All depends on the site content. A site with good updated content i would take 50% recurring and Cookiecutter style it's PPS or 100%.

sometimes members stay for 8-9 months or longer,
in that case, 50% revenue brings $100-150 in total
average but if the site or program seems no good
(for members, surfers) people don't stay with that (1-2 months
and you'll be paid $20-30 in that case.
So $50 for a free trial is good for sites with no members'
retantion but if an admin pays $50 for a member
he or she should make much more than $50 with that member.
Think. Examine. Decide for yourself, for specific programs.
This is not a secret.

what's the difference between that Per Sign Up? This will just increase affiliate fraud and increasing shaving by sponsors.

Most major sponsors use PPS on their exits...

personally i would take reshare depending on how the members area is set up. Also if they wont show you the members area by giving you a free pass i would not promote them at all

yeah it all depends on the members area, have a look and see if you would continue paying for it, this is where regular updates are good. if its not that type of site then go for the 100% up front

I'd love recurring if I knew most of the signups would recur normally, but since you cannot check this unless you are prepared to sacrifice some potential earnings for 1-2 months, an upfront payment is preferred.

personally i'd like to see $30-$35 pps plus 50-60% reccurring. traffic > content.

Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

I would recommend per sign up for people who do less than 20 sales per day. Recurring is good, but only if you have enough sales to see a consistent trend/average. Just in my experience with affiliates, on average, the affiliate will make more with per sign up. Of course, it depends on where the sign up comes from (how savvy the referred surfer is)
