If you ment eating beef from cows, the answer is no, mad cow resides in the spinal cord and brian and lays dormat for 6-8 years undetected.

People don't get mad cow disease anyway.
They get Creutzfeldt-Jacobs syndrome if they eat infected meat.

Actually from listening to a close relative of mine who just retired as head of infectious disease control of a local area group of hospitals... Creutzfeldt-Jakobs Syndrome is one of several types of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs) that humans and animals get. CJD is the most common of all the TSEs. BSE (the bovine version) is thought to be transmittable to humans. There is also scrapie which is found in sheep and goats and recently a woman died somewhere in the mideast US (I believe) from injested meat from a sheep infected by scrapie. Variations have also been found in elk, deer, exotic zoo animals, mink and felines.

At this time there is no known test to confirm CJD in live subjects. The 'diagnosis' is more a case of ruling out other things. The only way to confirm it is by a brain biopsy or autopsy. Of course they could do a brain biopsy in a living subject, but the possible effects of doing the biopsy usually rules out over the firm diagnosis.

And generally if they pick it up from the meat, it's from the brain or organs, much less likely the muscle. I believe the percentage is less than 1% chance of getting Creutzfeldt-Jacobs from muscle tissue even of an infected animal.

Less than 1%....... I should bloody hope so!!

Actually BSE was only "Discovered" in the 80's

CJD has always been around at a steady rate of about 1 in 1 million

The link has never really been proved

Yes, but the question is about how the other beef you eat is processed. Is it processed in machines that also processed the infected areas? Did the butcher use a knife that went from the spinal cord to your cut of meat? Can is be contracted through bone marrow? There was enough of an uncertainty for all beef on the bone to be banned in the UK for a number of years.
