I hate to be the one interjecting constructive criticism in this wave of congratulatory posts but IMO the design of site is done purposely to make the terms difficult for the enduser to comprehend. For example:
a) The $34.95 price is only listed in the terms and not anywhere else. Even on the join pages its not listed, only on the terms when you join.
b) The terms are listed in two places. On the join page and on a small text link. On the join page if you click to scroll the terms it automatically goes to the bottom and you cant easily read the terms. On the text link on the home page the terms are listed on a page that has to be scrolled down to read everything. On the first page view you dont see anything about monthly fees. After you scroll, the price of the membership is not stated in numbers ($34.95) but as a written number (thirty four dollars and ninety nine cents or the then applicable rate) and if someone is scanning the terms it can be missed.
b) They get charged $35 a month and have to use the money towards buying dvds. They also are committed to buying at least 5 dvds. Taking even the cheapest dvd at $22 that equals $110 at a minimum to fulfill their obligations. $35x3 month is $105 which means they will have to at least be billed 4 months for $140. The pricing of the site basically means that you have to spend more than the amount that would be needed to purchase 5 dvds, something that you have to do math on to figure out prior to purchase as its not clearly disclosed.

This would seem to be a higher than normal chargeback project. Kudos if you manage it, but I would think after month one you will be seeing alot of cancellation requests and you will have a collections dept issue, much like Columbia house does.
