Whilst most of you guys was wee kinders, there was a major fuckup off the coast of Alaska back in the late 80's. Exxon had a ship fuck up and spill assload upon assload of oil. Experts for the oil industry at the time said damage would be minimal, no long-term lasting effects and other bullshit. BILLIONS of dollars later and fines and lawsuits etc. they're still diggin' oil outta the environment. Funny how scientists will say exactly what the dollars waved in front of their faces say. |

God and I remember seeing newsclips of pelicans etc all sitting there covered in oil and suffering, with a beach behind them covered with oil-slicked carcasses. How disgusting..
