![]() I can understand your frustration about newbies and other assorted idiots posting on this board, but I would like to add these thoughts.
1) Newbies won't pay to post. They don't often have the money to afford the pleasure. What if they have a stupid question needing an answer? We all started as newbs. Twelve months ago I had yet to ever promote a porn site, today my affiliate sales bring in over $5000 in commissions a month. You guys need newbies that have fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and patience to promote. 2) There will always be trolls on message boards. Shit. I can imagine a few of you would be willing to spend an extra $10-$20 just to troll and piss people off. (I would). 3) If people don't like GFY's style, then demand real moderators that will cull the board of off-topic threads and obvious self-promotions.

Good post.
The other and complementary approach would be to set rules for sponsors on HOW to regulate their sig promoters. Some possible guidelines: 1) Post with sig only on threads that are related to the niche/promo of the sponsor 2) Promoters cannot start their own threads, just respond to existing ones. No bullet proof solutions but I believe your approach and a complementary approach would enhance the business to business dimensions of GFY. |
