Any webmasters considered Law or Medical School

Since I'm sitting around here on my ass on the time, I figured that I might enroll in either law or medical school to pass the time.

Any other webmasters in here in Law or Medical School?

I get bored during the day sometimes too, but I dread pressure of tests, etc. I've thought about taking piano lessons or something.

i'm thinking about going to law school after i finish this bachelors degree.. we'll see though.. from what a few lawyers i know have told me, law school is a bitch, and a commitment.. not something to do half assed in your spare time, but if you can dedicate yourself to it, then go for it!

I'm in lawschool, or at least the Dutch version of it. It's a serious bitch. You're bored, so why not enroll. U.S. really needs another crappy half-ass easily bored lawyer. Like NIKE said, Just do it.

well generally med school is a bitch to get into, but once you're in it's not so bad. It's not something you can just do on a whim, usually you have to have shown interest, and steps you've taken to get into medical school.. Of course it's usually not to difficult to prepare for the type of questions they'll ask.

You have to take it seriously, but it's not as hard as most people will make out, and parts of it are actually fucking cool (at least once you get into the hospital and out of lectures).

On the downside it's a very long haul, in New Zealand it's 6 years, I guess if you're doing it as a graduate course it's 4. However if you then want to specialise in anything it's another 4-6 years which, you pretty much have to dedicate your entire life too, usually to the detriment to friends and family.

The third year and taking a semester off sounds a little suspicious. He would only have only one semester left at this point so it woulden't make much sense to take it off, and law school is fairly structured so it isn?t really something you can drop and then jump right back into.

I am not trying to give you a hard time. If you are being straight up with me, take it as some friendly advice. It makes no sense to take the last semester of your third year off you only have a semester to go. You should have just completed your finals for this semester. If you want to impress me, instead of reciting your LAST score why not see if you can name two out of the 3 largest law firms in Indiana. If you do it and quickly I will know you are the real deal.

According to my girlfriend the LSAT (Law School Aptitude Test) is not to be taken lightly she had to bust her ass to get a shabby (in her words) 170. You also need a kick ass personal statement... try a list from google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...missions+essay

After that, depending on the school you get into, it may be a stress fest.

So... only go if you are serious and can put up with the stress.

Then, there's the Bar. She is studying for the February bar. I posted a thread earlier about the crim law MBE / Bar Bri stuff of hers that I speed read.

The LSAT is no joke. Here's a sample question:

Exactly six trade representatives negotiate a treaty: Klosnik, Londi, Manley, Neri, Osata, Poirier. There are exactly six chairs evenly spaced around a circular table. The chairs are numbered 1 through 6, with successively numbered chairs next to each other and chair number 1 next to chair number 6. Each chair is occupied by exactly one of the representatives. The following conditions apply:

Poirier sits immediately next to Neri.
Londi sits immediately next to Manley, Neri, or both. Klosnik does not sit immediately next to Manley. If Osata sits immediately next to Poirier, Osata does not sit immediately next to Manley.

1. Which one of the following seating arrangements of the six representative in chairs 1 through 6 would NOT violate the stated conditions?

* (A) Klosnik, Poirier, Neri, Manley, Osata, Londi
* (B) Klosnik, Londi, Manley, Poirier, Neri, Osata
* (C) Klosnik, Londi, Manley, Osata, Poirier, Neri
* (D) Klosnik, Osata, Poirier, Neri, Londi, Manley
* (E) Klosnik, Neri, Londi, Osata, Manley, Poirier.

2. If Londi sits immediately next to Poirier, which one of the following is a pair of representatives who must sit immediately next to each other? (

* A) Klosnik and Osata
* (B) Londi and Neri
* (C) Londi and Osata
* (D) Manley and Neri
* (E) Manley and Poirier

3. If Klosnik sits directly between Londi and Poirier, then Manley must sit directly between

* (A) Londi and Neri
* (B) Londi and Osata
* (C) Neri and Osata
* (D) Neri and Poirier
* (E) Osata and Poirier

first few years of medical school are basically memorising a shitload of facts. It's not until you get into the clinical years you can start to put things together, and use all that information in a meaningful way.
