i thought i heard someone talking about this recently.

someone is stealing _just the pics_ out of one of my galleries and using it to promote their own stuff. but they're just hotlinking the images into their own "gallery"... and it's hosted on a geocities site.

what the fuck? that's fucking lame. and it's getting a reasonable amount of traffic too.

fucking lamers. too many fucking scammers in this biz.

yeah, htaccess.

although i've noticed htaccess doesn't always seem to work very well. i've got a site i did all the htaccess crap on, and i could still hotlink to stuff with it.

didn't understand that, but who knows.

it just irks me that people decide they have to do that. they're too cheap to buy a $5 content set from a bargain content store, and host the extra 1 meg of content.

if your having a problem with .htaccess working, you need to speak with your host and get some support for it.

that is what you pay them for

.htaccess always work. That was probably the IE cache playing tricks on you. You need to clear it by pressing CTRL+F5.
