Interesting Lesson
i got a call from my Mom, my uncle died, he was my late dad's oldest brother - a character. A rich guy who if you saw him you'd think he was living on a pension.
anyway there's no lesson in that part. my father had 2 sisters and 3 brothers - 6 kids total. one brother, the one closest in age to my dad, two years older, they were best friends, slept in the same bed until the older one went into the service. when this uncle was in his late thirties he had a massive heart attack. he barely survived - he then went on to have more heart attacks - he went to the Cleveland Clinic, the Mayo Clinic and tons of heart specialists - his condition was some rare aneurysm of his aorta - like a bubble - anyway for whatever reason no doctor would operate. So for like three decades my Dad and everybody else worried about him - he had more touch and go heart attacks, sometimes 2 a year. My Dad worried sick about him and would drive 2 hours each way after work for weeks to visit him when he was in the hospital after yet another heart attack. so as of today, 2 sisters and 3 brothers are in the ground - and guess who's the one survivor? THAT guy! Mr. Oh I've Had Another Massive Coronary. now what's the moral of this story. I'm sure everybody has a family member or friend that has bad health problems or whatever and they get alot of attention and everybody fusses and worries about them. Well ....... my advice is to tell them to go fuck themselves because most likely they're gonna outlive everybody else including you. thank you RIP Uncle P ![]() epilogue - the surviving brother is a great guy - strange thing is that in the last 15 years he's hardly had any heart problems at all.
