What conversion ratio are you happy with?

Where is your line, is it 1:200, 1:1000

When sending traffic what do you consider "WORKING?"

Where do you draw the line and say it's a waste.

This applies to all forms of traffic

Depends on how well I qualify the traffics. 1:50 to 1:350.

this is so relative. 1:5 sounds awesome, but if thats third page clicks from targetted SE traffic then big whoop. i mean it sounds awesome, but thats not necessarily any better than 1:1000 with "shitty" tgp traffic which is much cheaper and more inexpensive to come by.

same here, i'm aiming for 1:50 overall (still ways to go), but if i don't get a minimum of 1:250-300, i drop the sponsor

I prefer 1-150,200ish PPS. I will drop promo if it runs 1-400+ for an extended period of time.

4free (weg type sites) I like 1-6 but tolerate up to 1-14 depending on what engines I am getting my traffic from.

Overall it all comes down to my ROI for a specific campaign. If the payout is high I can tolerate a higher ratio as long as I am in the + column at the end of a campaign.

I like 1:200

WORKING? - getting enough sales and not eating up too much bandwidth.

I draw the line when I am paying out the ass for bandwith and not making enough sales.

With any decent traffic 1:500 or better, with tgp or purchased or any other junk 1:1500 at worst.

I'd be happy with 1:1000 with my TGP, that's even with over 30% SE traffic for the TGP itself.

I've seen it as bad as zip for 5000 hits on an ad.

The only good news is that productivity is high on this TGP (have a few).

I'd say this was about it with me too...thats not including ccbill sponsors these last few months tho LOL

Yeah it depends on what you are talking about.

First page, second page, join page, etc.

We count first page, but I know a lot that count second page.

So you can't compare those two numbers. But if you count your outgoing clicks, and see what $ you make then thats your best bet.

Anyways thats what I look at.

I'd say that 1:250 is reasonable, but depending on what type of traffic you're sending and where you're sending it to, you can get down to 1:20. Our pills promotions commonly see TGP traffic get 1:200, and targeted traffic below 1:50. Of course, it depends on where you're sending your traffic.

If I can be of any help getting your conversions to a reasonable level, hit me up on ICQ

bottom line payment matters - not conversion.

some sites pull 20X what others do and have way worse conversions.

think about this.

Two galleries get the same amout of page views on them - 500,000 each. They both pay $30 a signup.

gallery one gets 20,000 hits to the paysite and does a horrible 1 in 1000 sales ratio for 20 sales.

gallery two gets 1000 hits to the paysite and gets an INCREDIBLE 1 in 100 sales ratio for 10 sales.

who would you rather promote? if you're worried about ratios then you have to pick the second one and make 1/2 the money.

i've been saying this for a LONG time now.

reality is - ratios mean shit. it's what you get paid at the end of the day that matters.

I totally agree with you on that. Many of the newbies look at conversion ratio more than anything else. Youhave to see if they count first or second page hits but most important of all HOW MUCH you make on each signup! slowly that isbeing learned but really slow

I'd have to agree with stockbroker23's range....anything doing over 1:350 SOMETHING is wrong...

under that "is working"

once again you can't realy say that.. that sponsor in particular might be counting 2nd page hits so that 1:350 ratio is something much higher in reality

the only thing i use ratios for is to know if a sponsor can convert my traffic well or not, i deal with bulk sums so i could care less about lowering my ratio, some sponsors fluctuate up and down but i still end up with around the same amount of signups monthly, so i dont pay to much attention to ratios at all.
