Outlook problem: wtf is this?

so, Outlook just stops working altogether. So I pop up the Taskman to see wtf, and there's like, 38 instances of Outlook running in the processes. WTF?

Killed them all and now it works again, but what the hell is that? How did all these instances get started and why? Anyone have this shit happen before?

Wierd. I have had looping funcions happen before with programs, never seen it with outlook. Do a virus scan and see if it picks anything up.

Sorry, that worm was meant for someone else... good thing it didn't eat your hard drive like it was suppose to.

I get this too sometimes when I close Outlook.

The program appears to close and exit normally. When I double click the icon to re-open the program, nothing happens. For every time I try to start Outlook again, I will get a process of OUTLOOK.EXE running in Task Manager's processes. It doesn't stop until I close each instance of the process. I also use Cloudmark's Spamnet - I've wondered if that is causing the problem.

Yeah, just using Outlook in the first place.

It's like using a strainer to hold your water.

What is wrong with outlook? I love that program and have been using it for many many years with no trouble what so ever. All you need is some good email scanning software and you have nothing to worry about.

installed Mailwasher Pro yesterday. I think when I do a "Quick reply" through there it's causing the extra instances.

hmmm.... guess I shouldn't be doing that no more.
